Petition NHS Prescriptions for Famprizine for Multiple Sclerosis Sufferers
More details
Famprizine improves Mobility for some Multiple Sclerosis sufferers- about 35% - but is only available, without charge, for 4 weeks. Then £191-10p, every subsequent 4 weeks, is mandatory if a sufferer wishes to continue with this medication.
Famprizine to be made available on NHS prescription as money could be saved because of the reduced need for equipment and ongoing medical help ie Stairlifts, Physiotherapy.
This treatment would be 'Cost Effective' as the need for above services could be reduced plus it improves the lifestyle and well being for the people this medication works for.
