Petition A woman's right to a hysterectomy
More details
I would like consideration to be given to introducing measures that allow a woman to have the right to a hysterectomy from the age of 45.
There could be long term benefits for the NHS by reducing unsafe and unwanted pregnancies in women over 45, ovarian, cervical and uterine cancers and the associated costs of chemotherapy and radiotherapy.
There will also be the choice for women not to have to go through the discomfort of going through the menopause.
