Why is public money being spent on sport this should be a private activity for people to spend there own money not the public's money.

In short I believe the money should be withdrawn from sport and the money should be raised from sponsorship and private investors.

This is not something the governement should be spending it's money on.

The priorties for governement should be defence, health, police etc the main guardians of civilisation. Sport is quite frankly a luxury for humanity and can always be paid for by private people's.
