Closed Falconry and birds of prey

Too often people buy birds of prey without any knowledge of their requirements or how to look after them properly and many end up in sheds with food being thrown in to them without them ever being flown.

Legislation should be created and enforced to ensure the welfare of captive bred and wild birds of prey.

Falconers should be licensed before being able to buy a bird of prey and breeders should be licensed before being able to sell the birds and responsible that they only go to licensed falconers.
