Rejected petition Members of the Royal Family - Appropriate Attire When Carrying Out Official Engagements

More details

In view of the embarrassment and indeed offence caused in some Commonwealth countries where modesty is considered virtuous, we call upon the Secretary of State to issue instructions to members of the royal family concerning the wearing of knickers while performing official duties.

Given Britain’s oppressive colonial past, we believe “going commando” sends out the wrong message from a bygone era.
