As someone who has witnessed the consequences of distracted driving, I am deeply concerned about the penalties often given to those who use mobile devices while driving. I want mandatory licence suspension for anyone found to be using a mobile device while driving.

There are countless videos available online that demonstrate the catastrophic damage and loss of life that this behaviour can lead to, including those who are driving.

This measure should serve as a deterrent and help protect all road users from unnecessary risk.
