When a potential recruit into the forces signs up the people that conduct the medical and the forces do not take into account whether they might be big due to genetics or whether they have to be for a certain sport(ie rugby). I think that this is ridiculous as rugby players can probably run rings around a lot of people and generally have healthy lifestyles.
