Asbestos containing material is subject to degradation over time. It is likely to be damaged if in a common area. The Students/pupils safety is 100% reliant on the competency of the management procedures/arrangements in place and being practised within the School/College/University. The duty to Manage asbestos in non-domestic premises usually falls to a caretaker of a School. How many prospective Parents ask about the presence of asbestos considering 75% of our Schools have asbestos containing material in them.
