Petition Review how NHS responds to concerns of parents regarding unborn/newborn babies
We want the Government to launch a review to look at how the NHS responds to concerns parents express about care and treatment regarding their unborn and newborn babies. We believe the concerns of parents are often disregarded, and that this can lead to preventable deaths.
More details
More than 4500 infants lose their lives annually in the United Kingdom as a result of stillbirth or neonatal death. We believe a significant number of these tragedies could have been averted if healthcare providers had taken heed of mothers' worries regarding decreased fetal movement, or had paid attention to mothers advocating for their infants.
A review could identify how to avoid preventable loss. We want hospitals to actively listen to the concerns and fears of pregnant or new mothers.
