Our politicians have proven, time and time again, that they are endemically dishonest and repeatedly ignore the best interests of the country and the people giving preference to their own financial interests and party politics. It is wrong that charlatans like this should have the power and authority to take unilateral action on such important matters without gaining the approval of the people in advance.
