Rejected petition Legal requirment to produce employment reference.

It is not a legal requirement for a past employee be provided with a job reference on leaving. In leaving an employee can have difficulty in finding work because references are more often than not required by a new employer. I therefore propose that every decent employee receive an employment and character reference on leaving.
