Loyal subjects of the Queen who serve in more than one uniformed service are unable to receive a Long Service medal as they have moved from one service to another e.g. Army to police and fail to qualify for time served for the LSGC medal in either branch .
Therefore one should be instituted to recognise the thousands of loyal subjects having given well over 25 years service in many cases.
