Tethering places equines in physical danger from dog and human attacks, entanglement in the chain coupled with reduced/fouled grazing. Shelter from the elements is zero and water buckets knocked over or non existent. Equines are social creatures so cannot exhibit mutul grooming or play resulting in poor physical and mental health.
