Petition Request that Lady Butler-Sloss be required to resign as child abuse inquiry chair

More details

Lady Butler-Sloss appointed today as Chair of the Child Abuse Inquiry announced by Theresa May on 7th July 2014.

Lady Butler-Sloss is sister of Lord Havers who, as Attorney General, defended the non-prosecution of Sir Peter Hayman and attracted further criticism by the late Geoffrey Dickens MP.

There is a visible conflict of interests.

I ask that the Home Secretary asks Lady Butler-Sloss resign as Chair of the Child Abuse Inquiry due to a visible conflict of interests.
