Closed petition Strategic Defence and Defence of Britain's Interests

We call upon the government to redress the erosion of British military capability and to establish a 3.5% protected minimum defence budget, to ensure our borders and strategic interests are protected and that military decision makers have a defined, permanent and uncompromised minimum defence budget that is free from short-term political decision making, to maintain Britain's military capacity to properly defend it's interests and to live up to its obligations as a NATO and permanent UN Security Council member.

Furthermore, we call upon the government to ensure that Britain retains credible, functional and fully available naval power, naval air power and fully available expeditionary power, to protect Britain's remote interests and those of her allies.
