Petition Bootle Fly infestation

This Fly infestation started in 2011 and has been the same every year since, Sefton Council environmental Health have been contacted, but DOZENS of homes in Bootle are still hit by a fly infestation.

the following story appeared in the Echo in 2011:

Families were left living with black flies covering their kitchens and throughout their homes.

Shops in the area have ran out of killer fly spray as people attempted to eradicate the problem.

White walls have been left black with flies.

Environmental Health officers were this week investigating a number of complaints made by the public.

Residents said the plague of flies have made living conditions on level “with the third world”.

It is unknown how the infestation began, but one suggestion is that its origins lie in the nearby docks.
