Rejected petition Yorkshire Education Challenge

A Yorkshire Challenge funded and administered to the same levels as the paradigm changing London Challenge.

Yorkshire children’s educational experience falls far short of their peers’: their achievements, results and chances of attending a Good or Outstanding school are far lower than children in other parts of UK.

London Challenge has shown how this can be addressed with a fully-funded attack on underachievement in schools.

Yorkshire’s children deserve to do better in better schools with better trained teachers. Yorkshire’s children deserve a fully-funded Yorkshire Challenge run along the same lines as London Challenge which changed the fortunes of thousands of children.

Our children's failure is "an emergency" too.
