Closed petition Gas and electricity companies must refund customer money more quickly

It would appear that the gas and electricity utility companies believe they can keep any overpayemts from customers, who have switched to another supplier, for at least three months.
This surely not acceptable and they need to be forced to refund any credit owed to former customers, and existing customers, much more quickly.
