East Coast Mainline is generating a profit for the public purse. Why is the Government intent on privatising it when we should be conserving all such funds for the taxpayer rather than giving the profits away to unaccountable private enterprise?!

It has been reported that East Coast mainline has generated £1bn for the public purse since 2009 and in the last year as a state owned enterprise paid a record £235 million back to the Government alone, a 12% increase on the previous year.
