The term "Health and Safety Consultant" should be a protected title in law, in the same way as other professions such as Social Work and Medicine. This will ensure only suitably qualified and experienced practitioners can call themselves by this title. For example, only those on the Occupational Safety and Health Consultants Register (OSHCR).
