Closed FAIR PARKING FOR PATIENTS

The ITP Support Association and all those who have signed this petition call for FAIR PARKING for HOSPITAL PATIENTS across the whole of the UK. We request that the Government legislate to ensure that the following 3 conditions are established UK wide...
1) FREE PARKING for PATIENTS with serious and/or long term health problems and for those attending A and E in a genuine emergency.
2)All hospital car parks to operate on a PAYMENT ON EXIT ONLY to avoid patients being caused unnecessary stress and worry if their parking time runs out.
3) All NHS Trusts to publish and advertise the criteria for FREE PARKING to avoid the burden of such decisions resting with already heavily burdened clinical staff.
Adopting these common sense measures will help to alleviate the tremendous stress and financial burden placed on so many patients who already suffer enough from the worries that accompany their ill health.
