Closed Cap or stop taxpayers money donated to political parties

People of the UK unknowingly gave £45,047,859.70 to the Conservative Party purely as taxpayers between 2001 and 2014 (Electoral Commission data

Similarly taxpayers also unknowingly gave a much less amount to the Labour party and significantly less to other political parties.

We want either a cap placed to limit this practice or for the parties to rely on their existing donors. They could even advertise for donors and explain what their donations would be used for.
