Petition I wish to petition against driverless cars being allowed on public UK highways.

More details

I am petitioning the UK government to repeal the legislation it has already passed and permit no further legislation allowing driverless cars to be allowed on public UK highways.

I believe that cars need to be under control of a legal, human driver at all times rather than under the control of a computer based driverless navigational system.

I further believe, the use of driverless cars, programmed by computer software, are inherently unsafe and puts motorists at intensified and increased risk of having traffic accidents as a consequence of malfunctions of driverless cars crashing into them.

I further believe the Government has failed to consult the public adequately about the legislation that it has already introduced on this issue and is in potential breach of duty of care to the motoring public at large.
