NHS Hospitals are currently required to collect data on whether users would recommend the service they have just used to their friends and family.
Hospitals are penalised financially by 6 figure sums if they do not collect the data, the information gathered is scientifically invalid and unrepresentative and this data collection exercise is consuming time and money which would be better spent on improving patient care, rather than fuel this political stunt.
Those signing this petition call upon the government to abandon the NHS Friends and Family Test.
