Closed Ebola in West Africa

The WHO and local governments are proving incapable of containing Ebola in West Africa. Health systems have collapsed. Ebola and its wider ramifications now represent a significant health and economic threat to the rest of the continent and the world.

The UK should take a much stronger lead in providing a stronger international response that includes, if necessary, foreign military medical help, as was the case in the Philippines super typhoon.
