Closed Scrap The Driver CPC

It is requested that the Driver Certificate of
Professional Competence be Abolished for existing drivers.
Keep the DCPC for new drivers,only doing it once as
part of gaining there licence.

European Legislation - EU Directive 2003/59 to be
enforced on 10th September 2014,which may have a severe
impact on employable drivers and the economy.Those not
in possession of the DCPC will not be able to use there
legally gained licence to work.

Drivers may also be required to pay themselves!This is
Not Fair on Drivers,the Industry,or the Tax Payer.

A drivers competence is assessed when a driver passes
his/her driving test.

Due to the variation of work involved within the Road Transport Industry,further competence training,drivers hours,tachograph regulations,health and safety,fuel-efficient driving,WTD,etc should be left to the responsibility of the employer.

It is requested that the DCPC be Abolished for existing drivers.
