Petition Reduce the deposit required to run for police and crime commissioner

Currently in order to run for the office of police and crime commissioner a deposit of £5000 is required. To run for parliament the deposit is only £500. In order to encourage candidates from all parts of society, the deposit should be set the same as running as MP.
This will encourage a greater spectrum of candidates and make the office more accessible to those without party political affiliation.
