Rejected petition South Yorkshire PCC Shaun Wright should resign

In the light of the revelation of over 1400 shocking and horrific cases of child abuse that have been known, but have gone unchecked by South Yorkshire police over the past two decades, this petition calls fro the resignation of PCC Shaun Wright, who held the position of councillor in charge of children's services at Rotherham Council from 2005 to 2010. His refusal to step down adds untold further hurt to the victims and their families, and so we call on him, for once, to do the right thing and resign immediately.
