Rejected petition Statue in Rememberance of Richard Attenborough
More details
Do you know? I cant encompass it. his films, his ability, his co-ordination, his acting, his directorship, his camp encouragement, his friendliness, his championship of others, causes and things. his ability to describe the close reality of the inhumanity of man on man and yet his unending belief that there is a redemption in man himself (using 'man' as a species and not gender defining).
At least there should be a statue in Leicester where he never relinquished his roots and contributed fantastically to its arts humanities culture and sense of identity.
