Our petition aims to drive a legislative change to force manufacturers of anti freezes and screen washes to include a bitter compound to their products and save the lives and prevent the unnecessary suffering of thousands of loved pets in the UK each year through the accidental or wilful poisoning of animals across the nation my own baby included.
Recent media reports highlighted the use of these products to illegally poison a neighbourhoods cats and there are countless others whose pets have been wilfully or accidentally poisoned my own included. The addition of a bitter compound would prevent the accidental consumption and reduce the ability of cruel individuals using these freely available products to kill our pets.
