The coalition must target the leaders of IS - not the foot soldiers, many of whom are only there under threat of death or are brainwashed Iraqi or Syrian school children.
Reporters who have been embedded with IS fighters have shown how IS commanders recruit local people to fight alongside them by subjecting them to watching brutal beheadings, hangings, and mass executions of anybody who will not convert to the IS cause.
