Petition Form a Modern Civil Defence Corps

With the heightened threats from IS and other Islamic groups including threats directed at the UK,and attempted implementation of Sharia Law in some areas. The reduced numbers of Police and both Regular and Reserve forces have reduced the UK's ability to maintain security at a level required.

The formation of a Modern Civil Defence Corps , made up of volunteers from various backgrounds would be able to form a Home Defence and assist , as required, security forces including the Police and HM Forces, during any unrest within the UK.

The Corps would be able to assist in duties normally carried out by security personnel or any other such duties as needed, logistics, communications, Medical , intelligence gathering ,etc:

Ex Servicemen who have experience in various theatres would be invaluable in numerous roles.
Former Police, Fire and Ambulance personnel likewise.

Such a Force would enable the numbers required to bring calm and defend the Crown to a realistic level.
