Rejected petition Ban the Orange Order in Scotland
More details
We request that the orange order (OO) are no longer allowed to hold demonstrations within Scotland.
These demonstrations promote bigotry and hatred on the streets of Scotland, contributing to the sectarianism issue that we fight to overcome, especially in central & western Scotland.
During the Scottish referendum the OO were in contravention of the Public Order Act 1936 by marching in uniform for a political object. On these occasions the protests ignited violence on the streets of Scotland and we believe this must be stamped out.
