Petition MPs pay and constitutional reform

More details

In the light of proposed far reaching constitutional reform the proposals to increase MPs pay should be halted immediately.

The Prime Minister has stated his intention to embark on fundamental reforms to give the people of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland more power over their affairs. The Prime Minister has stated that draft legislation will be published by January 2015.

This reform will lead to radical change in the role of Parliamentary representatives and will reduce their level of overall responsibility. In the light of these proposals it is not appropriate to increase MPs pay in line with the recommendations of the Pay Review Body.
