Closed petition Property Survayors to become Transparant and accountable

Closed on

Currently as a homeowner when you wish to sell your property, a prospective buyer who needs a mortgage will have a survey done to protect the lender.

You have no say or are not allowed to see that report, however the surveyor can write what he pleases and you can suffer the consequence's.

This has happened to me recently so I wish to propose 2 things

1. Any seller who has a survey done regardless of whom it is conducted for must receive a copy of any survey to ensure it is correct and accurate
2. That if the surveyor has recorded items that are incorrect or inaccurate has to have a method to complain and have items corrected.

This should not be confused with low valuations that do not meet your expectations, as this is subjective, but any report written, YOU must have a right to see as the owner of the property. and a method to correct anything inaccurate
