Force insurers, comparison sites and brokers to check (via dvla or similar) the insurance write off category of a vehicle and take that into account when quoting / providing insurance cover. At the moment insurers can void a policy or pay out less as this information is never requested by them when quoting!

Insurance is a legal requirement forced on all of us, there should a higher level of responsibility for insurers to insure policy holders properly!
