Closed petition Regardless of special occasions ban the use of fireworks after 11pm on a weeknight

Closed on

At present, general fireworks are allowed until 11pm except on 5th November when they are allowed until midnight and certain other occasions like Diwali, Chinese new year and New Years when they are allowed until 1am.

There should be a restriction that if any of the above events fall on a Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday they should not be allowed to go off after 11pm.

This is for the health and well being of our children, especially the younger children who have to attend school the following day.

Do we not want to teach our children to have courtesy for other people? Yes it is lovely to celebrate special occasions but all we are asking is to have some respect for people when it gets past a certain time.
