On 20 October 2014, 'The Single Use Carrier Bags Charge (Scotland) Regulations 2014 No. 161 came into force in Scotland.

The S.I (Statutory instrument) imposes a minimum of 5p to be charged for a carry bag.

This is absurd, even with the new law havering good intent behind the concept, such as helping the environment (allegedly).

An extra charge on top of the goods which you have bough and furthermore, you are paying 5p to advertise that business by walking around the high street with a bag showing their logo.

Please repeal:-
