The nhs are closing baby weigh clinics at local doctors in favour of a centrally and cheaper self weigh in clinics so we see less of midwives and these are also not easy to get to for those who don't drive. They won't also hold the demand as get 1-1 1/2 hrs to weigh baby for about 5-8 big village in the area. The local health vistors have to choice with this as it management in office not in field and are traveling with a newborn or baby on public transport or at peak times at one clinic starts just after school time.
