HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE DONATED £30.95 FOR THE PRIVILEGE OF OWNING A POPPY – THEY WERE ALL TOLD THEY WOULD HAVE THEM IN THE NEXT FEW WEEKS. IF THEY ARE LEFT FOR ANOTHER YEAR IN THE OPEN THEY WILL DETERIORATE. THEY WERE INTENDED AS A TEMPORARY MEMORIAL, NOT A TOURIST ATTRACTION FOR LONDON. PLEASE MAKE SURE THE CONTRACT OF SALE IS HONOURED IN TIME AND THE POPPIES ARE DELIVERED AS PLANNED.
