Petition Petition against Presumed road liability
More details
This is a petition against the one as laid out below.
UK law treats everyone equally and as innocent untill proven guilty. This must be allowed to continue.
As with all groups there are good and bad examples. Many cyclists as seen on online videos show a complete disregard for the safety of themselves and others as well as the highway code etc.
Presumed Liability (Road Traffic Incident)
Responsible department: Department for Transport
To influence road user practice and thereby make the roads safer for all users (especially the most vulnerable) a law of "Presumed Liability" must be enacted.
This will assume that the party operating the more hazardous vehicle is responsible in the event of a collision.
