It is currently allowed for companies such as FACEBOOK, Instagram, Twitter and anyone else to strip out the exif data from images uploaded to the internet. FACEBOOK automatically strips out the exif data.

This means, Photographers lose the only way they have of protecting their work [PROTECT THEIR COPYRIGHT} when uploading it to the internet. Photographers use Exif data to attach their details to stop their images being misused, stolen or orphaned. FACEBOOK takes that right away from anyone uploading images. This should be a choice of the uploader.
