From 30 November 2014, the Dartford Crossing will move to a new ‘free flow’ System without booths or barriers. Under the new system the running costs will rise from 6.7 Million (latest figure 2012/3) to a HUGE £36.7 million per anum yes that's Nearly Half a £BILLION of our money committed over the next the next 7-10 years ...Just to delivery some 18 camera's and few road improvements all paid for by motorist tolls.
This equates to effectively Circ. £75K for London Congestion Charge Cameras (£50k plus £25k inflation £75k) and £2 million for one of the Dartford Cameras .
