Online voting makes voting easily accessible and would help stop the participation crisis. 7 in 10 UK residents own a smartphone and 91% of UK households have Internet connection. We live in a technologically advanced world and it's time to modernise voting. Banks use online banking, which is becoming increasing popular, so why can't we vote online. Online voting would also make it easier for the older generation and people with disabilities or illnesses to vote.
