There is currently an empty rail line between Beverley station and York logically it should be restored:

Thousands of commuters travel to York from Beverley every morning via car.
The congestion on the A1079 is horrendous and only set to get worse.
A 2005 feasibility study by ERYC stated it would be profitable and had much interest from rail companies.
Would benefit the local economies of both York and Beverley.
Would be more environmentally friendly that 1000s of car journeys.
