Rejected petition Abolish VAT on sanitary towels. They are essential!

We have tax on desirable things we would like to consume but as said in parliament, essential items do not have VAT. However, this is not the case for sanitary towels, which IS an essential for women. This contradicts their views and it should be abolished.
