Andrew Mitchell has been found guilty of libel. This ex-chief whip used foul language towards a uniformed police officer who was simply upholding the law. This sets a terrible standard to the country; a politician who can use public order offences, insult the police force, and then lie about it.
We call for his immediate resignation, and an apology to PC Rowland.
