Petition Regulate salvia divinorum in a similar way to alcohol and tobacco and allow its sale to be for human consumption as it is less harmful.

Salvia has medical benefits, it was commonly used by the Mazatec Indians for headaches, diarrhea, rheumatism and anemia.

• Allow chewable salvia leaves and smokeable salvia joints to be sold in shops to over 18's.
• Introduce chewing gum with the active ingredient salvinorin A.
• Allow salvia products to be sold in pharmacies.
• Ban salvia consumption on main roads, high streets and other busy places for health and safety and also to avoid nuisance and introduce a fine for people caught breaking that law.
