Petition Standing for election whilst working for the police and other civil service roles

More details

The law should be changed to allow people who work for the police or other civil servants to be able to stand for election, as long as an oath of impartiality is taken (as per Police and Crime Commissioners), and that the person standing agrees to terminate their employment if elected to office in local or national goverment. Impartiality should remain however it is fair that members of these services should not lose their democratic rights.
