Closed Make charitable giving of at least 5% compulsory for every taxpayer.

For businesses, as well as individuals.

Imagine the difference it'd make to medical research, global poverty etc. if everyone contributed at least 5% of their salary to a chosen charity.

I understand wages for some don't stretch far these days, but I truly believe that we'll reap back all that we give; not just as individuals, but as a country.

The government should give taxpayers some kind of tax incentive for doing this.
